From teacher Angela: Madeline was practicing her jumping today during gathering time. She would bounce to songs that we sang, then squat lower and bring her feet all the way off of the ground. In the gym Madeline rode in the boat and used the help sign (ASL sign for "help") when she got stuck under a center piece.
From Mom: In addition to reliably signing the words for "help," "more," "eat," "all done," "please," and "chicken," and less reliably "milk," "toilet," and "thank you," Madeline now uses a handful of very clear spoken phrases and words to communicate. She says "apple," "on," "eat," "milk," "mama milk," "please," "no," "let's go," "do it," "yeah," "meow meow" (which means cat, of course), "moon," "let go" (as in "Mama let go"), "hi," "bye bye," "squirrel" (which sounds more like "searle"), "I see it," "I see 'm," "shoes," "shoe on," "hat," "banana" (which sometimes sounds like "ba lam la"), "Daddie," and "mama."
