From teacher Angela: Madeline was in the gym this morning. The toddlers from another classroom were sharing our space and Madeline was excited to play with new friends. Another little girl laid on the floor pretending to sleep. Madeline knelt next to her and looked at her in confusion as if to say "it's not nap time!" Then Madeline began patting the girl's back like she was putting her to sleep.
From Mom: We are working on a new song:
"I had a little turtle. His name was Tiny Tim.
I put him in the bathtub to see if he could swim.
He drank up all the water. He ate up all the soap.
And now my little turtle has a bubble in his throat.
[chorus]
I had a fluffy Tiger. He had four Tiger feet.
I put him in the backyard to see what he would eat.
He cuddled all the kitties. He played with all the birds.
A vegetarian tiger [upspeak] of this I'd never heard.
[chorus]
I had a timid kitty. His name was Meow ZeDong.
I hardly ever saw him 'cause he hid the whole day long.
I chased him to the closet to see what he would do.
And then my little ZeZe tried to climb inside my shoe.
[chorus]"
We are working on another verse about our cat "Fidel Catro," whom we call "Fidel." We are taking ideas on composing a verse about the General!
